Guddu Rangeela – Two months lockdown for Arshad and Amit!
Arshad Warsi and Amit Sadh made to rehearse with each other for two months by director Subhash Kapoor to build chemistry between them so that they looked like brothers on screen. The national award winning director told his team that in case one person was unavailable for rehearsal, then the session was to be cancelled. His diktat was Arshad and Amit should only rehearse with each other or else not as they were playing best friends Guddu and Rangeela and they needed to look and sound every bit best friends.
Subhash says, “Guddu Rangeela is all about sticking together. It was crucial for Guddu and Rangeela to have chemistry and bonding. I asked both of them to send time together, they partied together, spent lot of time even went on a bike ride in Himachal.”
Guddu Rangeela stars Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh as two bumbling criminals who run an orchestra party. They take on a villain (Ronit Roy) way stronger than themselves which land in a soup. The film is set to release on July 3.
