Gangaa practicing Yoga asans on &TV's Gangaa (3) (1000x665) (300x200)

Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office, he has taken and implemented many initiatives. But International Yoga Day seems to be the talk of town. So much so that &TV has gone ahead and incorporated the essence of this ancient art in three of its shows. Since the programmes cater to a wide range of audience across age groups, it was the right decision to promote the health benefits through the characters.

In Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls, the two protagonists Anjini, a successful entrepreneur and her sister Binny, full-time mom & housewife promote the benefits of Yoga. Though coming from opposite walks of life, they are easily and efficiently managing a healthy lifestyle. “In this day and age we all lead very stressful lifestyles. The best way to deal with stress is to practice yoga and through our shows on &TV we wish to create awarness of the benifits of practicing yoga among all our viewers.” says Sara Khan (Anjini) In Bhagyalakshmi, the Mother-in-law & Daughter-in-law duo take inspiration from their Bhabhi Maa who even at the age of 60 is an epitome of fitness, all thanks to yoga. Gangaa touches upon a crucial topic highlighting the importance of imparting yoga among children from an early age. “Through the show I got an opportunity to learn something new. I truly enjoyed doing the yoga asans and will now practice is everyday.” says Ruhana (Ganga). All said and done, the International Yoga Day will be celebrated with great fervour everywhere including your favourite shows. Be sure to stay tuned.
