Vikas Khanna to gift his book Utsav to Tom Cruise and Madonna
Michelin Star chef Vikas Khanna’s cookbook Utsav – A Culinary Epic of Indian festivals was unveiled at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival by Sonam Kapoor. Now, the celebrated Chef is set to present it to Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise and pop queen Madonna.
The book – Utsav based on cuisines for festivals and rituals for Indian communities was widely appreciated by dignitaries and filmmakers across the globe who attended the prestigious festival.
The celebrated Chef took 12 years to complete Utsav and wants to present it to the world’s top 12 global leaders. Considering the huge response, Vikas will be taking his book to US President Barack Obama, Sweden and Japan before he returns it to show it to PM Narendra Modi.
Interestingly, Vikas will also be presenting his book to Hollywood superstars – Tom Cruise, Madonna and Javier Bardem (Skyfall fame) as they are huge fans of the delicacies cooked especially for them by Vikas and are big supporters of his work. Vikas shares a great camaraderie with them.
Vikas says, “I’ve had the pleasure of interacting and cooking for some of the world’s most popular icons. I will be giving Madonna and Tom Cruise a copy of the book after presenting it to the 12 global leaders. My dream is to present it to Meryl Streep and I hope to do that soon.
