Rajasthani Culture Takes Centre Stage at Hariyali Teej Mahotsav, Shruti Choudhry Attends

Chandigarh: The Rajasthan Parishad (Regd.), Chandigarh, organised a grand Hariyali Teej Mahotsav on Sunday at Rajasthan Bhawan, Sector 33. The event showcased the vibrant colours of Rajasthan’s folk culture, traditions and the festive spirit of Teej. Haryana Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development, Shruti Choudhry, attended the celebrations as the chief guest.

The festival featured Rajasthani folk songs, traditional performances and a variety of cultural programmes, giving attendees a glimpse into the rich heritage of Rajasthan.

Women dressed in traditional attire celebrated Teej with great enthusiasm and participated in various festive activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Shruti Choudhry said that festivals like Hariyali Teej strengthen our rich cultural heritage and family values.

She appreciated the efforts of the Rajasthan Parishad in preserving and keeping traditional culture and customs alive.

She further said that such events play an important role in connecting the younger generation with their cultural roots. Passing folk traditions and cultural heritage on to future generations, she added, is a collective responsibility.

Rajasthan Parishad President Raj Kishore, Vice President Ramavatar Sharma, General Secretary Kishan Lal Bothra,

Treasurer Rajnish Jain and Joint Secretary Vinod Sethia, along with other office-bearers of the Parishad, welcomed the guests.

A large number of members of the Rajasthani community and city residents attended the celebrations.
