Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will be seen essaying the role of an advocate in director Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming movie “Jazbaa”, believes that no film can flop if planned properly.
“This is a very good time for film-making business. I think business has found its security. As industry exhibition has increased and continues to grow, it gives the opportunity to make more prints and certain returns are assured to the investors,” Aishwarya told IANS..
“So I think there shouldn’t be any loss-making business in the film industry, and if it is well planned no film can flop,” she added.
She also said that sometimes a film is perceived as a flop even though it did enough business.
“In the past we may think that a film is a hit, but later come to know from producer’s friends that it will take next two years to recover the money. So perception is an important aspect for the business,” she said.
“Having said that, this is a great time (for films). Different subjects can be made, producers can plan the finances accordingly and that makes a good time for us actors and filmmakers to do different stories,” she added.
“Jazbaa” which is a Hindi remake of South Korean movie “Seven Days”, is produced by Essel Vision, White Feather Films and Viking Entertainment.
