Never let a child die in you : Rohit Jugraj
Film director Rohit Jugraj believes that one should never let a child inside him or her die as it will not let you grow otherwise. “I never let the child inside me die as it motivates to learn new things and new concepts. It only inspired me to make a film like ‘Sardaar Ji’,” he affirmed and added, “It is first fantasy film being made in Punjabi language.”
With the action, serious and thought-provoking films like Jatt James Bond under his credit the director is all excited with his new flick which he claims is totally family movie and being a fantasy film would be loved by people of all age group.
“Sardaarji is a fun ride film. Talking about the ghost, I think we all deal with such things in our daily routine,” he mentioned. “Don’t we deal with our demons daily and look for a guardian angel in times of need? Don’t we talk to a fairy that we believe is hovering over us or wish for a ginnie trapped in a bottle?” he asks while explaining about his love for the concept of the film.
Sharing his experience of working with all the actors Jugraj stated, “Diljit Dosanjh is a very fine actor who just unlike me is a child at heart. No one else could portray the character better than him. You don’t need to give him dialogues to get humour out of him, it shows in his eyes. He too believes in magic and dreams and could justify his character thoroughly. The same holds true for Neeru Bajwa, Mandy Takhar and rest of the actors who gave their best in this film,” and mentioned, “The audience had seen Daljit’s and Neeru’s chemistry earlier and liked it. No one else would have suited for the same. While Mandy suited to the triangular love story as she related to the character that is based abroad.”
The film produced by White Hill Productions has been shot mostly in Canada and Punjab.
