Married to my work : Manish Malhotra
The ace designer of Bollywood Manish Malhotra says that he is married to his work and is never ready to give up until he is finished with it. “My work is my wife. I have time for no other things. I sleep only for five hours,” he told Pollywoodboxoffice and added, “I am happy to leave my dinner just to finish my work.” Manish was in city beautiful to launch London School of Trends (LST) in collaboration with Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD).
He affirmed, “I was facinatedwith colours, sketching and films since I was six. I use to give my opinion on the colour of my mothers saree. As for films, they are till today my best stress-buster.
Mostly seen in black or check shades Manish complimented himself saying, I always wear black because I feel it makes me look slimmer because I am always feeling fat; and checks because they give a masculine touch.
On being asked about his take on Indian women he stated, ” Ithink where Indian women go wrong the most is in overdoing things. Theres jewellery, costume, hair and make-up; everything going at the same time. For instance, if you are wearing a nice heavy necklace, keep the blouse or neckline simple and vice-versa.
Manish himself admires Amitab Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sridevi and Rekha as he says, “Rekha mam looks gorgeous even in gym clothes. We go to the same gym and I tell her that even she looks gorgeous at7 amin the morning. While Sridevi ma’am is the one who helped me to establish in my initial days. Among the younger lot, it’s Alia.
Stating 2017 a very hectic year he mentioned, Theres a period drama coming up starring Alia, Varun, Sridevi; and then Student of The Year 2. Also there are shows lined up in Delhi, Kolkata and Dubai.
