Playing the role of a young hero for fantasy superhero show ‘Maharakshak Aryan’ has changed the life of Akarshan Singh. “The role has changed my life entirely. People have started respecting me now. Even my school teachers have started lying that I was intelligent boy though I was an average student,” he stated while he was in Chandigarh to promote his show that is about to air on Zee Anmol on May 18.
The boy who hails from Sirsa always dreamt of being an actor but his parents wanted him to complete his study first. Thus after completing his graduation he moved to Delhi to take lessons in acting. After six months of training he left for Mumbai and got to do small characters in various programs. “On knowing about the the show I had to go through about 150 auditions that lasted for about two months,” Akarshan affirmed and added, “Thereafter I took training for a month from the trainer, who also trained Tiger Shroff, to get my stunts right for the show.”
Based on the age-old saying, ‘Triumph of good over evil’, the show is a finite fiction thriller where every day the super hero faces a devil that is based on one or the other mythological character. It also features
Reshmi Ghosh, Mishal Raheja and Vikramjit Virk. “I feel lucky to feature in a show that brings the popular concept of superhero, something that’s equally enjoyed by the young and the old. It has been a wonderful journey till now, but being a superhero on screen is tough as you have to shoot with harnesses, do your own stunts and wear a costume,” he stated. On the launch, Sorbojeet Chatterjee, Head – Marketing (ZEE TV & FTA Cluster) said, “Maharakshak Aryan captures the spectacular journey of a young boy from being an average teenager to discovering a hero within. This fiction thriller will add a new flavour of fantasy to our existing line-up, attracting diverse sets of viewers and engaging every family member.” “The show is also available as a free mobile gaming app and has Omung Kumar, heading production design,” he mentioned.
