Women empowerment means different to different people it’s very important that we first understand what is women empowerment . In this  country women have been equal, in fact more than equal because she has been worshipped .Hindu religion which is Adi Dharma ,existing since the Inception of mankind ,is the only Dharma in the world in which women dieties are worshipped as goddess but over the centuries specially after the invasions the status of women started declining and a stage  came where head come to be considered as property and slaves .There after a long but a very very difficult struggle started in the society for getting the respectable status for women .ln the Modern Times it is being called as women empowerment although this is a word imported from west .Various laws has been enacted for uplifting the status of women in the society .Those laws have definitely helped in their upliftment although it is taking painfully long to change the mindset of the society which has become patriarchal and feudal over the centuries. It’s very important for women to understand that their struggle for seeking equal status as human being has not ended. where on one hand women are struggling even for the basic needs such as stomach full of meals ,not to be sold ,not to be beaten ,right to live, right to education, right to choose their life partner ,right to decide conjugation ,right to decide children  , there is a section of women the very very small which fails to understand the importance of these laws and this movement .Unfortunately this very very small section of women is using these laws to settle the score with their in- laws , this very very small section of women is harming the movement for empowerment of women .These women should understand that because of their action the whole movement and struggle for seeking equal status for women As human beings suffer Women must stand up for the right cause relating to women  and not play politics or misuse by activism. we women have long way to go before we will be considered as equal human beings .Even today when according to the gender ratio women are less than the men ,when it comes to marriage brides find it very difficult to get a suitable groom where as boys still are in a choosing position .After marriage however much the girl is educated and well placed when she becomes a wife she is expected to do all the household work whereas the husband as a matter of right get served by wife it is a social and psychological struggle which we all have to unitedly fight but remember this is a struggle for women and not against men.
