Gun and Goal fails to leave its mark
It seems that Punjabi industry is going through a  downfall nowadays. Either writers are falling apart or directors are not able to execute the story or may  be producers are in hush to get their films release. Whatever the reason may be but surely the industry is waiting for some good movies to come up but seems the wait has to be long. The recent example of a poor attempt is Gun and Goal that released today.
Produced by Surinderjeet Singh Sarao  and directed by Simranjit Singh Hundal the film stars newbie Sumeet Sarao along with Rishita Monga, Sezal Sharma, Sandeepa Virk, Guggu Gill, Sardar Sohi, Surinder Shinda, Mukesh Tiwari and Razia Sukhbir.
The film is based on a journey of a football player whose life changes after the entry of a girl  named Kajal. But it seemed that director was too confused while filming it as it was too difficult to understand the ups and down that comes in the film. It was not clear from where a girl came into the life of the protagonist and why she left him, how a don turns into a good man. From where another girl who was in love with the hero gets a baby when she has no link with him. Oh my god everything is unclear and  too confused.
Actor Mukesh Tiwari though acted well but seemed that he was not too comfortable with the language. Sardar Sohi in a small stint was impressive as ever. Guggu Gill is no doubt an evergreen actor. The hero Sumeet and the leading ladies need to improve their acting skills.
Music also failed to impress . Overall the film has no goal and no inspiration for the football players as the passion seemed to be missing.
