The name may not ring a bell in your ears at once but the man behind scenes is happy to be , where he is now as of now. Known as the independent director this lad from Lucknow graduated in medicine for his family but the destiny had stored something else for him. He always wanted to be a film maker but family pressure forced him to pursue his studies. Though he completed his MBBS degree but left it to be the director. “In Lucknow a child needs to be a doctor, engineer or IAS officer. If he is not anyone of this it is said that he could not do anything,” Vishal told Pollywoodboxoffice.com in an exclusive chat and added, “Though I completed my graduation I dropped my Post Graduation to follow my dreams.” “I use to participate in cultural programs during my college days and discovered my artistic side,” he affirmed.
After visiting Mumbai he struggled hard to achieve his goal. “The life was a roller coaster in the dream city especially the first five years. I assisted few of the directors but my experience was not good and decided to be independent director,” Vishal mentioned and stated, “I started writing small stories and scripts for a radio channel. Later on started directing videos and use to edit them myself most of the times.”

Vishal has directed many promotional videos for films and television. Not only this he had been nominated and won Best Director award for his short film in SAA in NIFF 2014 and Best Music Video award for Mauj Ki Malharein from the movie ‘Gulaab Gang’ in Kolkata Short film festival. He has also directed underwater video Taakeedein for the movie ‘Warning 3D’ with Sonu Nigam and a promotional video for movie ‘Gulaab Gang’ featuring Bollywood Diva Madhuri Dixit for T Series. He had worked with Ankit Tiwari, Daler Mehendi, Sony music and Zee music to name a few .
He is currently working on two films- a musical comic thriller and a psycho thriller written by him.
