Destined to be a singer: Ashok Mastie :

Destiny plays a very important role in ones life. What your parents think may not be the cup of tea for you and it is destined to be something else. Similar is the case with singer Ashok Mastie whose parents wanted him to take care of their family business but he was inclined towards music since he was a child. Despite the fact that family did not support him in his initial days, it was his friends who helped in full filing his dreams by paying fees to the music teacher.  Once his album was out there was no looking back.
The guy from Giddarbaha who was active doing theatre in Chandigarh before taking up singing as profession  enjoys live shows a lot as he feels, ” Live shows are just like boosters. Audiences response is what makes you perform much better.”
Mastie even doesn’t mind acting in film until the subject is different and too interesting. “I have been receiving many offers but none of the script attracted me. I have been even asked to do guest appearances which I never wanted to do,” he affirmed and added,”There is a dearth of  good script in the industry. Moreover films are made in unprofessional way nowadays. Property dealers are getting into the business without realising its significance and producing worthless films. Films are mirror of society and we need to portray it in such a way so that audience can relate with it.”
Mastie’s fan would be able to hear him with Badshah, Sachin Ahuja, Ravi Bal and Kuwar Virk very soon. “The work is on and the videos of song would be out in a month or two followed by one another,” he signed off.
