Manoj Pahwa & Seema Pahwa to act together for the 1st time in ‘BHK [email protected]’

By Dharampal  –   ‘Office Office’ fame Manoj Pahwa and his wife Seema, will be playing husband and wife for the first time on screen in the comedy entertainer, ‘BHK [email protected]’.

While Mr. Pahwa has showcased his potential over the years with strong roles over diverse genres in films such as ‘Being Cyrus’, ‘Singh Is Kinng’, ‘Dabangg 2’ and ‘Jolly LLB’, Mrs. Pahwa recently showed her brilliance is films such as the critically-acclaimed ‘Ankhon Dekhi ‘ and last year’s hit, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. She had shot to fame as Badki in the serial ‘Humlog’ on Doordarshan.

Considering the fact that both of them have been the industry since so long, it is surprising that no one saw the opportunity to cast them together till now. And the bitter-sweet relationship between the two in the situational comedy, ‘BHK [email protected]’, gives the audience the opportunity to experience the rare relationship between a real-life couple in reel-life.

About pairing him with his wife, Mr. Pahwa quipped, “My character is afraid of his wife because his business was set up because of his in-laws.”

He added, “He is a property dealer named Lovely Bhai Khanna. I’m portraying a character that is an out-and-out foodie, flamboyant and one who loves to enjoy life.”

His comic character in ‘Office Office’ was also one where he would be constantly gorging on food while creating funny situations with his dialogues and mannerisms. About doing numerous such comic characters, he said, “I can do different characters but directors prefer to keep me in a safe zone. But I don’t want to be typecast. I would love to try grey characters. I have done such roles like the one in ‘Khap’.

The film deals with how the issue of housing and property affects relationships in a metropolitan city like Mumbai, in a funny manner. A dealing for a flat forms the basic plot of the film creating numerous fake identities,lies and confusion.

This also triggers suspicion in the mind of the inquisitive Mrs. Pahwa. She even sets her brother, played by Brijendra Kala, behind the deal as a detective to know the truth, sparking hilarious situations in the film.

The film is jointly produced under the banner of 9 Production, GM Film Production and RCOM Productions.The film is set to hit theatres 5 February and also features Ujjwal Rana, Inshika Bedi, Benjamin Gilani.
