Ramta Jogi a film with different ending

Ramta Jogi
ramta jogi punjabi movie (220×330)

Ramta Jogi – Love is blind. And the heart never see’s the status of other person before falling in love. This is the simple love story of Ramta Jogi, a film directed by Guddu Dhanoa but with a different ending. It is a story of rich girl and poor boy who falls in love for each other. The girl belongs to affluent family of Patiala while the boy who is a motor mechanic lives with his aunt after loosing his parents. Despite knowing the fact that girl’s parents would not approve their relation the duo fall in love with each other and even don’t mind leaving their home to stay together and visit Mumbai. After lots of struggle the couple gets married and in between their family comes to know about their where abouts who then takes them back home. Where they punish the boy for loving their daughter, who is unable to take the physical torture dies and this upsets girls mental status.

Though Guddu Dhanoa is known for  delivering best films and actors but this time his attempt failed to leave the mark. He has given  actor like Shahrukh Khan to the industry but could not stand up to the mark this time. His earlier Punjabi project “The Lion of Punjab” with Diljit Dosanjh received positive reviews from viewers and critics thus increasing the expectation this time. Deep Sidhu and Ronica Singh who debuted with the film looked good but need to work  harder on their acting skills . Rahul Dev too failed to leave the mark as a possessive father who loves his only daughter a lot but can’t except his love for boy as he does not belongs to their stature. Greesh Sehdev who plays the role of girl’s uncle managed to impress with his acting skill. Other newcomers Zafar Dhillon and Anil Grover fitted well in their characters shoes. While the guy named Chottu who played a role of trainee at hero’s shop added the comedy element to the story. Despite various flaws in the movie Guddu provided the best music which is his forte always. The music by Santokh Singh Dhaliwal and Harry Anand gives the soothing effect to ones ears. Both the music directors cum singers have done a fantastic job.

The story and screenplay of “Ramta Jogi” have been penned by Santosh Dhanoa and produced by Vijay Dhanoa under the banner of Vijayata Films in association with I’MPossible Films.
