🌍 Jonita Doda Inspires India’s Income Tax Officers at Aarohan 2025 with a Call to Environmental Action

Renowned actor, entrepreneur, and environmentalist Jonita Doda recently addressed the newly promoted Income Tax Officers (ITO) officers during Aarohan 2025—a prestigious training program held for officers of the Income Tax Department. The event, hosted by Income Tax India and Income Tax Mumbai, brought together some of the country’s brightest minds as they prepared to step into senior leadership roles.

In her thought-provoking session on “Planet Over Profit-Values, Ethics, and Our Duty Towards the Environment”, Jonita urged officers to see environmental responsibility not just as a personal choice, but as a professional duty. She highlighted how every decision—whether in policy, enforcement, or personal conduct—can either protect or harm the planet.

“The environment is not a distant cause. It is the foundation of our health, economy, and survival. If we fail to protect it now, no amount of economic growth will save us in the future,” Jonita told the audience.

The session explored urgent global issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution—drawing connections to India’s own challenges as the most polluted country in the world and home to 33 of the planet’s most polluted cities. She also stressed the importance of aligning government action with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially those related to climate action, clean water, and sustainable cities.

During the session, Pr. ADG Shri Navneet Manohar presented Jonita Doda with a token of appreciation, acknowledging her impactful contribution to Aarohan 2025.
