Ltd. announces\u00a0<strong>\u201cJagjit Singh Music Festival\u201d<\/strong>, a never before, two day music festival to celebrate the 75th Birth Anniversary of\u00a0<em>\u201cThe King Of Ghazal\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<strong>Jagjit Singh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Padma Bhushan\u00a0<\/em>Jagjit Singh\u2019s music has touched our souls. Although he is physically\u00a0not present among us today, but his mesmerizing voice still lingers in our hearts and minds with the same charisma.<\/p>\n<p>Year 2016 happens to be the 75th Birthday of the maestro Jagjit Singh. To make the celebrations grand on his Platinum Jubilee Day, a two day music festival has been announced. Detailed schedule is as below \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 1 \u2013 7th\u00a0Feb. 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Young ghazal singers below the age of 30 years will be invited from all over India by virtue of their recordings. To be a part of the celebration \u2013 sing a ghazal with only Tanpura and POST your video on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JagjitSinghMF\">www.facebook.com\/JagjitSinghMF<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 (Jagjit Singh Music Festival\u2019s Page) with hashtag \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/jsmf75?source=feed_text&amp;story_id=1740150546221503\">\u202a#\u200eJSMF75<\/a><br \/>\nTop 25 singers will be selected by an esteemed panel of jury including \u00a0JANAB NIDA FAZLI, Smt. CHITRA SINGH, Chairperson, Jagjit Singh Foundation, Shri. SURESH WADKAR and Shri ROOP KUMAR RATHOD.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These selected singers will perform in Mumbai on 7th\u00a0Feb. 2016 at Ajivasan. The day will feature 3 sessions starting from 11am till evening. A total of 75 ghazals of Jagjit Singh will be sung. At the end of the day\u2019s session, all participants would be honoured by the jury maestros and they would be given a citation from Jagjit Singh foundation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This will lead to enormous enthusiasm among young Ghazal singers to take up ghazal as art form and spread it around the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DAY 2 \u2013 8th\u00a0Feb. 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Day 2 will feature unique celebration in the form of \u2018Jagjit Singh Musical Festival\u2019 attended by who\u2019s who of the music fraternity. This will be a public event featuring performances by legends.<\/p>\n<p>The line up includes\u00a0<strong>Deepak Pandit<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Ranjit Barot<\/strong>\u00a0giving a musical invocation of 10 minutes to the commencement of the festival, followed by Ghazal Maestro\u00a0<strong>Shri Hari Haran\u00a0<\/strong>regaining the audience for 45 minutes with his own unique ghazals and then\u00a0<strong>Shri Suresh Wadkar<\/strong>\u00a0and<strong>\u00a0Shri Sonu Nigam\u00a0<\/strong>would give unique rendition of Jagjit ji\u2019s compositions in their own inimitable style to relive the memories of maestro\u2019s ethereal music.<\/p>\n<p>The second half will showcase a unique combination titled \u201c<em>Tridhara<\/em>\u201d which will premier on the occasion. This will feature three streams of art namely\u00a0<strong>Taal, Sur &amp; Nritya<\/strong>\u00a0together\u00a0 featuring\u00a0<strong>Padma Bhusan Ustad Zakir Hussain, Padma Vibhusan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Padma Vibhusan Pandit Birju Maharaj<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The grand event is an initiative of\u00a0<strong>Jagjit Singh Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0brought to you by\u00a0<strong>Perfect Harmony Production<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Pvt.
