Ishq Bulaava chorister, Shipra Goyal is one of the emerging vocalists in the industry today. Working along side Kumaar, Meet Brothers and debuting with Vishal-Shekhar has escalated her popularity to an all new different level. Know about the release of her singles this year and more only in an exclusive chit O chat with PollywoodBoxOffice.
PollywoodBoxOffice: How did you start your melodious musical journey?
Shipra Goyal: I belong to a musical family so it always runs in my blood. My father, Subhash Goyal is a singer and always supports me and so does my mother. I participated in many singing competitions when I was in school and in college. I did my classical music training from Hindu College, Delhi. When I came to Mumbai, I debuted with IshqBulaava. Thats how it all started.
PollywoodBoxOffice: How has your experience been so far?
Shipra Goyal: Experience has been really great. My profession is so fun and creative. I am blessed with such a beautiful art and then my fans appreciate it so much taking it to the next level. They wish me everywhere from Facebook to Instagram which makes me feel so lucky.
PollywoodBoxOffice: Tell us something about your family.
Shipra Goyal: Whatever I am today is Because of my parents hardwork. They supported me 100% all the time. My father was also my Guru. I was a very naughty child but then I was damn serious with my music. They always knew that I wanted to be a singer so there wasnt any problem from my family.
PollywoodBoxOffice: With whom do you want to work with in the near future?
Shipra Goyal: A.R Rahman Sir. I look forward eagerly to work with him.
PollywoodBoxOffice: Who are your favourite actors?
Shipra Goyal: Diljit Dosanjh is doing great in both the fraternities. He is a very natural actor. Neeru Bajwa is brilliant too.
PollywoodBoxOffice: Who is your inspiration at this point of your life?
Shipra Goyal: My inspiration is not a person in particular. I think the love of my fans keeps me going.
PollywoodBoxOffice: What are your upcoming projects?
Shipra Goyal: I am working on female oriented singles this year. One single will be coming out in the Bollywood and the others are for Pollywood.
PollywoodBoxOffice: Do you want to try a hand in acting too?
Shipra Goyal: Yeah, maybe in Pollywood after some years.
PollywoodBoxOffice: You have a great fashion sense. Who helps you with that?
Shipra Goyal: I have a team and then I select my own outfits. At home, I like wearing shorts and chappals but when I am out, I keep it fashionable.
PollywoodBoxOffice: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
Shipra Goyal: Laughingly. Maybe, chilling in a villa along with my family.
PollywoodBoxOffice: Any funny incident from your childhood?
Shipra Goyal: I was a very naughty child. Where ever I use to go, I liked picking up things and playing around with them. There are many memorable incidents from my childhood. So, when I was 5 years old, I recorded my own song in a tape recorder. The song was TuTu Tara, Todo Na DilHumara. We still have the song records even today. In fact, my parents even say that I used to cry melodiously.

Shipra Goyal: This year Ill be doing a lot of female centric songs so keep supporting my work. Thanks for all the love.
